HISS Seminar Information

HISS is for High School Students who attend Triton, Overhills, Western Harnett and Harnett Central High School in Harnett County. 

HISS is sponsored through a grant from the Burroughs Wellcome Foundation Student Science Enrichment Program.

October 28th- Written in Bone: Buried Lives of Jamestown and Colonial Maryland

November 18th- Biotechnology and Your Health

There are 2 spaces left in this seminar as of November 12th. If you'd like to come you must call Emily Bloom by Monday the 15th.

December 9th- the Survival of the Sickest

There are 3 spaces left for this workshop as of December 7th. If you want to come you must call Emily Bloom. 

 Only 20 students will be accepted. The seminar will run from 4:00-7:30. Supper will be provided. You will receive the book above in the mail before the seminar. You will need to read the book in order to best participate in the seminar. Bus transportation may be available if enough students from your school attend.
