Message from the Dean
Campbell University Divinity School opened in 1996 with a superb mission statement and an inspiring vision for ministry: to provide theological education that would be Christ-Centered, Bible-Based, and Ministry-Focused. Our heart, then and now, is to offer theological education in an environment that stresses the lordship of Christ, the centrality of the Bible, and the mission of the church to a needy world.
We are excited to invite persons called to Christian ministry to join us in this mission. Campbell Divinity School will prepare you intellectually, spiritually, and professionally to fulfill your God-given calling. Our school features a supportive climate where faculty, staff, and students love and support each other. Ask our students about Campbell Divinity School and many will say, “It feels like family.”
Distinctives of our school include this focused mission statement, a spiritual formation curriculum, five degree programs - Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Christian Education, Master of Divinity/Master of Business Administration, Master of Divinity/Master of Arts in Community Counseling, and Doctor of Ministry - generous financial aid, and opportunities to take elective courses in the other schools of Campbell University. All of these programs are carried out under the banner of worship, devotion, commitment, and service to Jesus Christ as Lord. If you are looking for a school with an excellent blending of strong academics and strong spiritual nurture, Campbell Divinity School is the place for you!
We would be pleased to send you additional materials describing our school and its programs. Better yet, call or come for a visit. I will look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,Michael G. Cogdill
Dean and Professor
