PGA/PGM™ Program@Campbell

Campbell University Requirements

Full admission to freshman-level study requires the following:

1. Either a high school record showing graduation from an accredited secondary school with thirteen credits as follows:

Or successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) Program. Unusual circumstances with respect to ability, maturity, and motivation may be considered (Only a limited number of GED applicants will be considered.).

2. The admissions committee considers students on the whole person concept. The entire academic record is reviewed. Grade Point Average (GPA), Course Selection, Class Rank, Standardized Test Scores (SAT/ACT*) are all considered. Students with less than the acceptable threshold may not be considered for full admission. Alternative options such as Probational Admission, or Conditional acceptance may be recommended. Each and every candidate is reviewed on an individual basis.

3. Students with test scores from 850-950 will be eligible for full admission if they also have a respectable high school GPA, but will be monitored. Students with scores above 950 are eligible for full admission.
*ACT scores are converted to SAT equivalents for statistical purposes.

PGM Requirements

Admission requirements into the PGA/PGM™ Program at Campbell University are as follows:

  • Meet all Campbell University admission requirements.
  • Must have a minimum USGA handicap of 12 or lower to enter the program. Documentation of golf playing ability may be submitted in one of the following methods:
    • Handicap Verification Form completed by a PGA Professional or High School golf coach. Attach a recent copy of the USGA handicap card information.
    • Letter(s) of recommendation on playing ability from a PGA Professional or High School golf coach.

Transfer Requirements

Prospective transfer students looking to enter the PGA/PGM™ Program at Campbell University must meet the following admission requirements:

  • Meet all Campbell University Transfer Admission requirements.
  • Must have a minimum USGA handicap of 12 or lower to enter the program. Documentation of golf playing ability may be submitted in one of the following methods...
    • Handicap Verification Form completed by a PGA Professional or High School golf coach. Attach a recent copy of the USGA handicap card information.
    • Letter(s) of recommendation on playing ability from a PGA Professional or High School golf coach.
  • Maximum of 64 credit hours. Due to the delivery of the PGM Program, most transfer students will take at least 3 ½ years to complete the remaining program requirements
